Why Resolutions Suck

Monday, December 31st, 2007

As we prepare to make the leap into 2008, many people will mistakenly make New Year’s Resolutions for themselves.

And – with 3-8 weeks, those resolutions will be forgotten, and nothing will have changed.

Lest you think I jest, let me give you a perfect example.

Many will make a New Year’s Resolution to lose weight or get in better shape.

As a result, they’ll sign up for a gym membership and vow to make some changes in their lives.

The gyms across this country love this time of year, because they see a HUGE influx in new members – and a HUGE jump in income – as all these new members commit to a year’s worth (or more) of ongoing monthly membership fees.

And yes, the gym will be a bit crowded during the months of January and February.

But, before you know it, the crowd will have thinned as the majority of people forget their resolutions and return to life as it was.

Imagine the pandemonium if all those “resolution makers” who had a gym membership, actually used it on an ongoing basis.

Fortunately, the gyms will never have to worry about this little problem, because people who make New Years Resolutions seldom follow through on them.

Knowing that New Years Resolutions won’t give us the results we want, what can we do?

How can we insure that 2008 will be our best year ever?

How can we get more of what we want in 2008?

More munee.

More success.

Better health.

Better relationships.

Stay tuned, cause I’m going to show you later this week.

Have a great New Year, and keep an eye out for my next post.

What Do You Know

Friday, December 21st, 2007

Let me start out by saying, if you asked to be added to the “Insider’s Roadmap to Information Marketing” waiting list – it’s been done.

You’re on the list and will get first notice when I launch this new product in January.

Alright, now that we’ve got that covered, let’s move forward.

People are amazed that I’m able to deliver so much valuable content.

When they look at what I do – write regular emails, publish a monthly newsletter, run 2 coaching groups, host live training calls and create new products on a regular basis, they wonder how I get it all done.

Truth is, it ain’t that difficult.

There’s a whole lot more that I’d like to do, but simply haven’t got around to it yet.

I will give you my big secret though.

I write about what I read, see, hear and experience.

That’s right.

Everything that happens in my life has the possibility of becoming content for my emails (or my newsletter), content for discussion on my coaching calls and material for one of my products.

When you consider this, the list of what could be used for content is HUGE.

You too have lessons learned, experiences, stories and secrets to share with others.

And lest you think people wouldn’t want to hear from you, and pay your for sharing – think again.

Until several years ago, I was a virtual unknown.

Yet today, more than 15,000 people hear from me on a regular basis.

You to have valuable information that’s stored in your head, and people will gladly pay you to share it with them.

In fact, next month, I’ll be showing you how to convert your knowledge into MAJOR cashola.

Yes, I’m going to show you how to turn your passions, hobbies, interests and experiences into a business that pays you for doing what you LOVE.

I’ve been busy preparing for the big event, and will be sure to let you know when I’ve got things in place.

For now – I hope you’re enjoying this wonderful season and are making plans to spend some quality time with family and friends.

What NOT To Do

Thursday, December 20th, 2007

Many people say they want to be an entrepreneur, but few have the guts to actually follow through.

Instead, they hop around from one thing, to the next, to the next – and never stick with anything long enough to see results.

When I opened the doors on my first business (a cleaning and restoration company) back in 1996, the first year was filled with struggles.

I made many mistakes, and yes, I even thought about giving up.

I didn’t give up.

You see, it’s alright to think about giving up (everyone does that).

But, if you expect to succeed, you can’t give up.

We all know someone who jumps on every weight loss plan that comes down the pike.

They try this program, then that program, but they don’t stick with any program long enough to get results.

I know many “so called” entrepreneurs who do the same thing.

They get into this business, then that business, but don’t stick with anything.

When I was struggling in my cleaning business, trying to figure out how to show a profit, there was one thing that kept me going, that kept me pushing ahead.

The thought of going back to work for someone else.

I hated the idea of returning to the 9-5 grind, and that’s what kept me forging ahead.

I finally did figure things out, and yes, my business started showing a nice profit.

And along the way, I also discovered the incredible world of information marketing.

Since making this discovery, I was able to sell my cleaning business on April 19, 2004 – and retire from manual labor… FOREVER.

Since that time, I’ve built my information marketing business to the HALF-MILLYUN dollar per year level, and I’ve done it on my terms.

I don’t tell you this to brag or boast, but to let you know that you can accomplish ANYTHING in life you want, as long as you don’t quit.

Over the last couple months, I hosted a private training series called “The Insider’s Roadmap to Information Marketing”.

22 select entrepreneurs participated in the training, and are now launching their own information marketing businesses.

The feedback I’ve received from this training has been so incredible, that I’ve decided to compile all of the recordings, handouts supplements and other materials, into a complete system – so you too can get your hands on this information.

Needless to say, it’s quite an undertaking, but I should have everything ready to go sometime by the end of January.

Many of you have already asked to be notified when this “Insider’s Roadmap” is complete, and I’ll be honoring that request.

If you haven’t yet asked to be put on the waiting list, simply send an email to, and we’ll make it happen.
