Several months ago my wife Lisa, and our youngest daughter Kaitlynn found themselves in a scary situation.
On this particular afternoon Lisa had just left work, picked Kaitlynn up from school, and the two of them were on their way home.
That’s when it dawned on Lisa.
She forgot to put gas in her car.
Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but in our neck of the woods, it can be a BIG problem.
You see…
Most folks live in a suburban community.
But not us.
We live about 60 miles north of Seattle, near the sleepy little town of Arlington, Washington.
And to make mattes even more interesting, we live quite a few miles from town.
In fact, we live far enough from town, that we don’t simply drive down to the store to get a gallon of milk, or pick up a loaf of bread.
When we go to the store in town, it’s a planed event.
So…
Now that I’ve set the stage, let me tell you what happened to Lisa and Kait.
Like I mentioned, Lisa had forgot to put gas in her car.
After picking Kait up from school and almost making it home, she realizes that she’s running on fumes, and the nearest gas station is miles away.
They turn around and head back for town – the whole time, praying that they’d make it to a gas station before running out of fuel.
As soon as they get close to town, they finally begin to breathe a sigh of relief.
Lisa and Kait were sitting at the main 4-way intersection, right outside of town, waiting for the light to turn green.
The gas station was less than a mile away.
And that’s when it happened.
The car began to sputter, and it ran out of gas, right there on the highway.
Lisa tried repeatedly to start the car, with no success.
As she sat there on the highway, dead in her tracks, she saw a homeless man holding a sign – and he was walking toward the car.
Apparently he’d been standing at the corner of the intersection, but until now, neither Lisa or Kait had even noticed him.
He walked right up to the car, and began to tap on the passenger side window.
Needless to say, both Lisa and Kait were quite nervous.
Here these two girls were, out of gas, dead on the highway, and they didn’t know what to expect from the homeless man that was now peering through the window at them.
Lisa told Kait to roll down the window… just a LITTLE… so they could see what he wanted.
And when she did, the homeless man says, “sounds like you just ran out of gas”.
He then went on to say, “I’ve got a 5-gallon container of fuel in my van, and it’s right around the corner.
Let me go get it for you”.
Lisa and Kait sat their in the car, and within a couple of minutes, the gentleman was back, and he put the gas in Lisa’s car.
After doing so, Lisa asked him if he’d be willing to follow them to the gas station, so she could re-fill the gas can for him.
After doing so, she gave the man some extra money and thanked him for being so helpful.
Now…
Here’s what’s so interesting about all this.
Both Lisa and I have been living in this area for more than 20 years.
We both pass by that intersection on a regular basis.
And in that time, we have NEVER seen this man before.
In fact, we’ve never seen ANY homeless person standing at that intersection, or anywhere else in town for that matter.
And since this incident, we’ve not seen that man (or any other homeless person) standing at that intersection.
You can it fate if you want – but that would be a HUGE mistake.
I mean seriously…
In the last 20 years, we’ve never even seen a homeless person in our sleepy little town.
Then, 3 months ago – this guy shows up out of the blue, with a can of gas, at the exact moment in time that Lisa and Kait were stranded on the highway.
And since that time, we haven’t seen him, or any other homeless person again.
This was NOT fate.
This was a MIRACLE.
This least likely angel was sent to help my wife and daughter.
I’ll end this letter by saying this:
When you look back on your life, you’ll realize that you’ve had a similar experience.
You may even be able to recall many such experiences.
What most people don’t realize is that you can actually attract these kind of experiences into your life.
In fact, I do it all the time.
I also have many friends and business associates who do the same thing.
Tomorrow I’ll be showing you how we make it happen, and how you can easily do the same thing.
Dedicated to your success,
Kevin Thompson
