Crazy-Busy Month

It’s been a crazy busy month and I haven’t been in touch with you as often as usual.

With the trip to Vegas for the Family Foundation Workshop, and extended Memorial Day weekend with friends, and today I’m off to Utah for Garrett Gunderson’s Fast Track Seminar – it’s been a crazy-busy month.

But fear not.

I’ve still been busy working on some incredible new stuff, and will have much to send your way in the near future.

I’ve made some incredible breathrough’s over the last couple months and look forward to sharing them with you.

Foul-Mouthed SOB

The video I shared with you yesterday got some mixed reviews.

And the one I put together for you today will most likely do the same.

Most of you LOVED what Gary had to say, but a few… well, let’s just say – a few people missed the message.

One guy got REALLY angry, and in turn sent me an email with a few choice words of his own.

I won’t repeat them for you here.

Yeah, Gary’s vocabulary consists of a few colorful words, and yes, he’s a casual dresser.

He prefers blue jeans over suits and ties, just like me.


It would be a HUGE mistake to let that get in the way of the message he had to share with you.

Things are changing, whether we like it or not, and if you don’t have passion for what you’ve got going on, it’s time to do something different.

Something that excites you.

Something that you love.

Something that FIRES YOU UP.

Doesn’t that sound a whole lot better than the alternative?

Breaking News On Twitter

I recently began using Twitter, and you’ll definitely want to keep up with me by going here

I’ll be making a BIG announcement very soon, and the news will break on Twitter.

Here’s why:

I’m sure you remember what happened on January 15th of this year.

That was the day that US Airways, Flight 1549 crashed into the Hudson River.

What you may not know, is that the news originally broke on Twitter.

I’ve been a big fan of email for many years now, and use it to communicate with you on a regular basis.

And that’s not going to change.


The fact is, email isn’t instantaneous.

Once I write an email, and press the send button, it will take anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours for the email to get delivered to you.

That’s one of the biggest reasons I began using Twitter.

I can get an important message in to your hands, and I can do it… IMMEDIATELY.

Here’s Your Permission Slip

When I was a kid, my parents raised me with a good work ethic, to be proud of a good days work.

That being said, it’s not all that surprising that I spent 7 years of my life, working in the most dangerous job in the world, as an Alaska Deadliest Catch Fisherman.

Last week I was talking with a good friend of mine who works on the green chain at a local lumber mill.

And let me tell you, that’s some hard work too.

After 19 years, the job is now taking its toll on him (and his body).

As he was sharing his frustration with me, we began talking about how our parents raised us, and how the lessons they taught us don’t apply these days.

You see…

When we were kids, our parents would tell us that we needed to get good grades in school, so that we could then get into a good college and get a good education.

Then, once we were out of college, we’d be able to get a good job that pays us well.


If we “work hard”, we’ll be able to advance in the job we’ve chosen, and our lives will be fulfilling.

Funny thing is, I still hear parents giving their children this advice today.

I don’t know about you, but from what I’ve seen, this advice hasn’t worked out too well for most of us.

It sure as heck didn’t work out for me.

In fact, it almost cost my life.

I spent 7 years fishing in Alaska, because that’s what I was taught to do.

It was a dangerous job, and though I got tired of working in the wet (and many times freezing) miserable weather, I continued to do it because that’s what I was taught to do.

I grew tired of working 24-36 hours straight, to then sleep for a short 6 hours, so I could get up and repeat this process over and over again, for weeks at a time.

But that’s what I was taught to do.

When I’d come back to Seattle on my time off, I detested the thought of going back on that boat, but I did it anyways, because that’s what I was taught to do.

Fortunately, after almost losing my life in 1995, I decided that enough was ENOUGH.

I finished my contract with the skipper, and got out of the fishing industry.

Though my story may be extreme, countless people find themselves in a VERY similar situation.

For years and years, they’ll “work hard” at a job they don’t even enjoy, wondering where the fulfillment is.

Wondering what happened.

Wondering… “Is this all there is from life”?

And that’s B.S. (pardon my language).

YES there’s MORE for you to have from life, and I’m proof of that.

Today I have a business that pays me for doing what I LOVE.

Where I get up each morning, excited for what the day has to offer.

Where I get to have a hand in helping people like yourself discover your passion, and just as I’ve done, turn it into a business that pays you extremely well for doing what you love.

Consider this your permission slip.

Your permission slip to expect, and get more from life.

Your permission slip to quit “working hard” at a job you don’t like, and start working at what you do enjoy – which by the way, isn’t work at all.

Since discovering this path for myself, I’ve spent the last 4 years of my life showing people like yourself, how to accomplish the same thing.

In the past, an email like this would have really hurt my feelings.

But not anymore.


Because I know better.

You Gotta Run Faster Than…

You’ve probably heard the story of the two hunters in the woods who were confronted by a huge grizzly bear.

The first guy looks at his partner and asks, “How are we ever gonna run fast enough to get away from this bear”?

His partner responds by saying, “I don’t have to run faster than the bear, I just have to run faster than you”.

And when it comes to business, truer words have never been spoken.

To weather and profit in the current storm, we’ve got to be faster, smarter and more agile than our competitors.

Fortunately, most of them are pretty stupid, so this task isn’t that difficult to accomplish.

In the interest of being completely candid, I’ll be the first to admit that I ain’t the smartest cookie in the box.


I AM smarter than the majority of my competition, which is why my business continues to do so well.

And don’t think for a second that I’m the only one doing well.

Many of my friends and clients continue to report record growth this year, in spite of the media trying to keep us in a panic.

I got a call yesterday from a good friend of mine.

He and his wife own a cleaning and restoration business near Spokane, WA.

While many others in the industry are having a difficult go of things, their business is BOOMING.


Because they understand how to give their clients what they want.

They also understand the importance of having a relationship with their clients.

You see, in this new economy, it’s not good enough to simply have the best product or the best service.

Truth is, there is NO best product, and there’s NO best service.

These days, it’s all about “relationship”.

Those who have a great relationship with their clients and customers are doing extremely well, while those who don’t…

Well, let’s just say that they’re struggling to stay afloat.

Fortunately, with today’s technology, it’s easier than ever to have a quality relationship with people, and when you do, they’ll be clamoring to spend their munee with you.

Oh, and just in case you’re like me, and a little shy when it comes to this technology stuff, the great news is – you don’t have to understand the logistical mumbo-jumbo in order to use it.

It’s kind like picking up the phone.

We can talk to anyone in the world, by simply picking up a phone and hitting a few buttons on a keypad.

We don’t have to understand phone switching systems or any of that stuff.

The technology I’m talking about is the same way.

It wasn’t that long ago that I was over 55K in debt, loosing sleep at night, wondering how I was gonna pay my bills, and hating life.

But now – things are different.

Now things are WAY different.

The Blood Bath Continues

I just got through reading an article telling of the countless businesses closing their doors forever.

A few include:

Fashion Bug – 150 stores.

Home Depot – 15 stores.

Pep Boys Automotive – 33 stores.

Sprint-Nextel – 125 stores.

Foot Locker – 140 stores.

And keep in mind, this is only a partial list.

This bloodbath means GREAT news for you and I.

I know, I know – you’re thinking to yourself, “Are you off your rocker Kev? How could this possibly be good news for me”?

This thinning of the herd means that all the customers who once frequented these defunct businesses are now looking for someone else who’s smarter, willing to step up to the plate, and wants to have a relationship with them.

It’s not like these millions of people have stopped spending munee on goods and services.

Quite the contrary.

They’re still spending munee with those of us who are smart enough to understand what they want from us.

And what they want, is a RELATIONSHIP.

Today’s savvy consumer is no longer willing to put up with the B.S. that most business owners have been dishing out in years gone by.

In this new economy, it’s all about building relationships with the people who come to you.

Funny thing is, I’ve been teaching this since 2000.

Those of you who’ve already embraced this concept are doing very well.

You’re profiting in spite of what the media tells us.

You and your family are well provided for.

You’re not looking to the government for your salvation.


Those who haven’t taken heed, and haven’t structured your online business in a way that “gives people what they already want”, are most likely singing the “recession blues”.

Fear not though, because it’s never too late to turn things around for the better.

In fact, there’s NEVER been a better time to get started than NOW.

The opportunity that’s in front of you right now, to step in and do what others have refused to do – which is form a relationship with the masses, and give them what they want – has never been better.

The market place is WIDE open, and there’s an avalanche of potential customers who will gladly give you their munee, if you’ll simply give them what they want.

And the great news is, you can do so…

Without spending a fortune.

Without having any previous experience.

Without having to work your tail off.
