Mack The Cancer Survivor

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

Someone sent me this video and I had to share it with you.

It comes courtesy of Mack Dryden, who’s a 2-time cancer survivor.

What makes Mack so unique is how he views his situation.

My father died of cancer when I was only 16, after a two-year battle with it.

And like Mack, having a sense of humor certainly helped our family get through a difficult time in our life.

No matter what you’re going through, I can assure that this video will help,

It also packs a powerful punch at the end.

So watch it, and as you do – be entertained, be inspired and be grateful.

Sean’s HUGE Goal

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

My friend Sean Stephenson has a HUGE goal.

He wants to rid the world of insecurity.

Now…

You might think that’s completely crazy.

You might think that’s impossible.

You might think it could never happen.

But let me tell you, he’s well on his way to making it happen.

How did he do it you ask?

By making the video above.

It’s already got well over 200,000 views.

Sean’s goal is to get a millyun views, because when he does that, You Tube will pay attention to what he’s got going on, and it will open a HUGE door toward making this goal a reality.

So here’s what we’re asking.

Take a look at the video for yourself.

If it makes your day, let Sean know by posting your comments below.

Then tell as many people as you can about this video.

P.S. I’ll be sure to keep you updated on Sean’s progress with his big goal.

The Lifestyle Business Experience

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

There’s something big I’ve been thinking about.

Something really BIG.

But before I tell you about it, let me explain why I’m sharing these two photos.

I hosted a by-invitation-only event at my home last year, and it was so unique, that I wanted to offer the same experience to you.

In the photos above, you’ll notice a couple of very famous people.

The first is Sean Stephenson… The 3-Foot Giant.

You may have caught his show on the Biography Channel last year.

Sean used to be a presidential aid, and is now a very famous motivational speaker.

He’s the guy in the wheelchair, in the center of both photos.

And the second is the blonde gal to the far left in the photo above (the girls photo).

That’s none other than Kendra Todd… winner of Donald Trumps Apprentice.

You’ve probably heard of the hit televison show.

So…

What caused influential people like Sean and Kendra to get on a plane, fly across the country to Seattle, and then make the 1-hour+ drive to my home in the tiny little town of Arlington, Washington?

The answer is simple…

They wanted to find out how in the heck I do what I do.

They wanted to see how I run a Milyun-Plus business from my home, while working only 2-5 hours a day.

They wanted to experience what it was like to have this kind of lifestyle business for themselves.

And let me tell you, once they spent two days immersed in the experience, their lives were for ever changed.

And that’s why I’m writing to you now.

If you’d like to experience this for yourself, I’d love to give you the opportunity.

I’m thinking about hosting a 2-day Lifestyle Business Experience at my home after the New Year.

This will be an event where I welcome you into my world for two days, so you can experience first-hand, what it’s like to have a Lifestyle Business for yourself.

I’m talking about a business that:

Gives you the luxury of working when and how many hours you want.

Gives you the kind of income that you truly deserve to have.

Lets you do ONLY the things you enjoy most.

Lets you spend your time with the kind of people you like being around.

Fits in PEREFECTLY with the kind of lifestyle you REALLY want to live.

If this is something that would interest you, let me know by posting your comments below.

I’m guessing that an experience like this would be a HUGE hit, but I want to make sure before I start firming up any dates, or making further plans to invite you into my home.

So, like I said, give me your feedback below, and I’ll be back in touch shortly with more information if you feel this is a right fit for you.

Caught On Candid Camera

Sunday, October 24th, 2010

On October 14th I told you about the incredible opportunity I had to introduce my good friend Joe Polish to an audience of 350 people at his seminar in Phoenix, Arizona.

The event was the annual conference he hosts for the cleaning and restoration industry.

As you know, I used to be in that industry, and to this day, still have a lot of friends in that industry.

Thanks to Joe, and all that he taught me over the years, I now find myself in a position where I’m able to pay it forward, by sharing many of my own discoveries with people like yourself.

And like I said, that’s an incredibly humbling experience.

The video above captures that experience unlike anything else.

It was filmed by Joe himself, on the last day of the conference.

It was completely unscripted and completely unplanned.

That’s what made it so incredible.

This final day was reserved for his high end coaching group, which consists of about 100 of the most successful business owners in the cleaning industry.

It was awesome to share some insights with this group, and have them respond the way they did.

Truth is, it’s this kind of response that keeps me doing what I do.

Watch the video and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Thanks Joe, and thanks everyone who was in the room.

It was great to spend a few days with you.

What About Bob?

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

The other day I told you about the experience we recently had when buying a vehicle for my wife.

I also told you about Bob, the guy we bought it from, who owned the body shop, and how I was a bit skeptical about buying a vehicle from a guy who owned a body shop.

But…

I decided to make the one-hour trek to meet with him, so we could look at the vehicle.

As soon as I met him in person, I felt like we’d known each other for years.

We spent a half hour or so talking about his 29 years of experience serving with the King County Search & Rescue, and before Lisa and I left, we’d bought the Escalade from him.

So…

What made me feel so at ease, so comfortable, and so willing to buy a vehicle from this individual?

Because that’s the million dollar question.

If you can replicate that in our own life, and your business you’ll never again have to be concerned about finances.

I’ll even go so far to say that when you replicate what Bob did, money will flow to you in waves.

And the answer is simple.

Bob knows how to connect with people on a personal level.

And to make sure he gets the opportunity to do so, he’s placed all kinds of conversation starters around his shop and office.

There were photos of his family, before and after photos of his work, photos of him with employees and of course, education and training certificates.

But, like I said, the hot button that grabbed my attention was the certificates of appreciation he’d received from the King County Search & Rescue.

And after a half hour of hearing Bob talk about his 29 years worth of Search & Rescue experiences, I felt a connection with him.

I liked him, respected him, and knew that he was an honest guy.

That being the case, I had no problem buying the Escalade from him.

This is why it’s so important that you tell YOUR story when presenting your products and services.

In doing so, it allows your customers to connect with you on a deep emotional level.

Once this happens, assuming that what you have to offer is a right fit for them, they’ll buy without giving it a second thought.

This is the reason I’ve been so successful at selling my own products.

By sharing my own stories and experiences, people are able to make a connection with me.

They feel like we have a lot in common.

They feel like I can empathize with them.

And most importantly, they feel like I can help them.

Because they feel this way, they’re able to make a buying decision, and feel GREAT about making it.

And that’s what we want. We want people to feel great about the opportunity to do business with us.

Search & Rescue & Escalades

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

We’ve been experiencing some growing pains in our family lately, and some changes had to be made.

With two little ones in car seats, Kaitlynn, and an exchange student from China living with us for the school year, we couldn’t fit the whole family into either of our vehicles.

We found ourselves having to take both cars almost every time we left the house.

Something had to be done.

We needed a vehicle with a 3rd row seat, so we bought Lisa a new vehicle last week.

It’s a 2002 Cadillac Escalade in excellent condition.

We bought it from this guy Bob, who owns an auto body shop in Kent, which is about an hour away from us.

Now… I know what you’re thinking.

And yes, when I found out that the guy selling the Escalade owned a body shop, I was a little apprehensive at first.

But, after talking on the phone with him for about 20 minutes, I felt that he was being completely honest with me.

So I agreed to make the hour long trek so we could look at the vehicle.

As soon as we arrived at his body shop, I walked into the office so I could let Bob know we were there.

And that’s when I noticed it, almost immediately.

One of the things I’ve learned over the years, is to pay attention to both the verbal and non-verbal communication that’s going on in any situation.

And let me tell you, this guy had some good verbal communication going on.

Like I mentioned, he comes across as an honest guy, and there was no mistaking that.

But his non-verbal communication was REALLY impressive.

The way he carried himself.

The smile he had on his face.

His open demeanor.

And, as I looked around his shop and office, I saw all these other indicators.

Photos of his family, before and after photos of his work, photos of him with employees and of course, education and training certificates.

But, for me, the most powerful thing I took note of was the numerous certificates of appreciation he’d received from the King County Search & Rescue.

After asking him about the certificates, we spent the next 30 minutes or so, recapping the incredible experiences he’s had serving with the Search & Rescue over the last 29 years.

I got so lost in the conversation, that I almost forgot that I’d gone there to look at the Escalade he was selling.

But when our conversation was finished, I thought to myself, “If this vehicle is what we’re looking for, it’s pretty much a done deal”.

So, my question to you is this…

What made me feel so at ease, so comfortable, and so willing to buy a vehicle from this individual?

Post your best guess below and I’ll be back soon with the answer.

Imagine This…

Sunday, October 10th, 2010

From 1988 to 1995, during the years I worked as an Alaska Fisherman, I had this amazing friend and co-worker named Tony.

To this day, I’ve never forgotten him.

He had this saying… “Keep your eye on the prize”.

You may have heard that working as a commercial fisherman in Alaska is the most dangerous job in the world.

There were plenty of days when we didn’t feel like going out on deck and subjecting ourselves to another grueling 30+ hour work day, where we had to deal with wet, miserable, and often times freezing weather conditions.

Whenever Tony saw that you were having a rough day, he would always remind you to “Keep your eye on the prize”.

I’ve gotta say, that was some REALLY good advice.

It’s so good, that I’m still following it to this day.

I haven’t seen or heard from Tony in years, and don’t have a clue what he’s up to these days, but he’s still having an impact on me.

Whenever we were having a rough day at sea, and Tony reminded you to keep your eye on the prize, your mood changed in an instant.

You immediately began thinking about the things you were going to do when you got off the boat.

When you got reunited with your family.

When you got to hold that special someone tight in your arms again.

This is an extreme example, but it makes an important point.

Our imagination is an incredibly powerful tool, and it can transport us anywhere we want.

All we have to do is use it.

If you can imagine it, you can make it a reality.

Problem is, most people have given up on using their imagination.

But when you think back to the last time you used it, you’ll recall that it was a great experience.

So here’s my challenge to you.

Take a moment right now, and imagine anything you’d like.

It may be buying that new vehicle…

Taking extra time off with your family…

Spending a lazy week at a beach front resort…

Having all the income you’d ever need…

Go ahead… take a moment right now to imagine it.

It feels incredible, doesn’t it.

Go ahead and carry that feeling with you. And as you do, you’ll be amazed at what you’ll be able to accomplish, and what will soon become true for you.

The Success Formula

Friday, October 8th, 2010

What if I told you that you already possess everything you need in order to be a massively successful entrepreneur?

In fact, you’ve got access to the same (if not better) information than many of the ultra successful people do.

So what does it take to succeed?

I’m gonna tell you right now.

And I’m gonna tell you from first hand experience.

Because I spend so much time with really well off people who have created their own success and freedom like I have I know that what I’m about to share with you is “The Formula”.

If you know anything about me, you know that I don’t like to brag or toot my own horn.

You also know that I seldom talk about the kind of income I really make.

But because I know it will make a big impact on you, I’m going to share some intimate details of my life.

I started my first business in 1996 on a wing and a prayer.

Even though my wife at the time had just left me and I didn’t have a clue what I was doing, I was excited for the opportunity to be my own boss, take control of my own destiny and make a whole lot of moolah.

At the end of my first year in business I was failing miserably.

I can remember thinking to myself, “Maybe your ex wife was right. Maybe you don’t have what it takes to be a successful business owner”.

But as it turned out, I did have what it takes.

Today we live in our beautiful 3,200 square foot dream home that sits on a one acre lot that’s surrounded by greenbelt and overlooks the valley below.

I have a beautiful family that I’ve become a hero to, and am able to provide them with everything they need, and most of what they want.

I have a business that pays me for doing what I love and fits in perfectly with the kind of lifestyle I’ve always wanted to have.

I drive the vehicle of my choosing, which at the moment happens to be a Hummer H2.

I’m able to buy pretty much anything I want, and pay cash for it.

We take family vacations whenever and wherever we want. The only thing we need to be conscious of is Kaitlynn’s school schedule.

Like I said, what I’m sharing here is a private side of my life, and it’s stuff that I don’t normally talk about.

I’m always careful when talking about possessions, because the fact is, it’s just stuff.

And in the end, it’s not the “stuff” that makes you happy.

You can have plenty of “stuff”, and still be a miserable person. And truth is, I know a lot of people like that.

So… you want to have a great income, because being broke never helped anyone.

But understand that you already possess everything you need in order to be a massively successful entrepreneur.

I mean seriously… look at me.

I was a C student in school, never attended college, and am also the guy who failed English.

Yet here I am, getting compensated more than most people could imagine for putting my thoughts on paper (or in this case, the internet).

And truth be told, I still don’t consider myself much of a writer.

I’d much rather talk on the phone or meet with you in person.

But I’m okay with that because I LOVE what I do.

And that’s the success formula in a nutshell.

The one thing I possess, that unsuccessful people don’t… is heart.
And that’s the one thing that makes all the difference in the world… HEART.

Heart to realize that you deserve more than what you have right now.

Heart to want to help your fellow human being.

Heart to get out of your comfort zone and become the person you were meant to be.

Heart to be committed to your purpose, and overcome any obstacles you may encounter.

Heart to rejoice in your mistakes, because that’s how we make the huge discoveries.

You WILL make mistakes. That’s a fact of life.

Heck, I make mistakes to this day. Probably more now than ever before.

Listen, if you’re sitting around feeling like the one secret to your success is being withheld from you, that’s going to be a pretty miserable way to go through the rest of your life.

Besides, anyone who says they have the ONE secret to make you successful is full of it.

I can give you all the tools, tactics, resources, action steps, systems, strategies and ideas to get your income to the 6 or 7 figure a year level.

But when it comes right down to it, that’s just “how to”.

To be truly successful requires that you have heart, and I can’t give you that.

Heart comes from within.

If you can bring heart and passion to the table, I can give you the “how to”, and together we’ll be unstoppable.

Dedicated to your success,
Kevin Thompson

What Do You Want Most?

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

I’m really excited about taking you behind the scenes of my automated business.

But I’m curious…

Because we’ll only have a short amount of time together, I want to make sure you get the most value from it.

I’m going to be able to share a lot with you, but what I need to know is this…

What part of my business are you most interested in seeing how it works?

How I build a list.

How I find the right products to sell.

How I sell products.

How I find the best affiliates and joint venture partners.

How I automate everything in my business.

To give me your feedback, scroll to the bottom of the page, type in your reply… then hit the submit button.

I’ll review it personally, and make sure I discuss your topic on the upcoming call.

I look forward to speaking with you then.

Nerds, Geeks And MisFits

Monday, October 4th, 2010

The other day I was at Target with my daughter Kaitlynn when she spotted a movie that she absolutely, positively had to have.

It was The Breakfast Club.

That 1985 movie starring Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall and Ally Sheedy.

It was a story that follows five teenagers (each a member of a different high school clique) as they spend a Saturday in detention together and come to realize that they’re all a lot deeper than their respective stereotypes.

I hadn’t seen the movie in years, so we decided to get it.

As we were standing in line at the checkout counter, I was reading the back side of the DVD case, and as I was, it really got me thinking.

I’ve been thought of as weird, odd or strange by many people.

If you’re reading this email, people have probably used similar words to describe you.

Words like nerd, geek and misfit also come to mind.

If that’s the case, you need to celebrate your weirdness, because it’s a wonderful thing.

Because we entrepreneurs march to our own beat.

And someone who’s not an entrepreneur has a hard time relating to us.

If I were to be honest, and I’m going to be – my wife thinks I’m a little bit weird.

She wonders how I’m able to sit here at the computer for 3-5 hours straight, sometimes without taking a break.

It would drive her nuts to do such a thing.

But me… I’m as happy as a pig in poop when I’m sitting here at my computer, writing, and sharing my thoughts with you.

Why?

Because you’re an entrepreneur too.

We’re on the same wave length.

We get each other.

And that’s why I love doing what I do.

I love hanging out and swapping stories and experiences with like-minded people like yourself.

So…

Got a story about being a weird entrepreneur?

If so, go ahead and share it below.

If you share a good one, I might do the same.

I’m thinking of a great one right now.

Kevin Thompson
