Wow, it’s been a busy week, and time seems to be flying by.
After last Thursday’s email and blog post, you made some great points about the value of paying for knowledge and secrets.
I especially liked what Randy and Shannon had to say.
Randy said, “Most people will not value information that has no price. Since they do not place a value on this “Free” information, they will not use it and it will be wasted and unused”.
And Shannon said, “People only value what they pay for. When you invest your time, money, and energy in learning something new, you value it a lot more than if someone just handed it to you. It’s the investing of ourselves that makes anything – relationships, learning, projects – worthwhile”.
I’ve been investing in myself for as long as I can remember.
When you think about it, pretty much all of us have been investing in ourselves, in one way or another.
Some of us have made good investments, while some have made, lets just say… not so good investments.
My friend Joe has a saying, “The worst investment you can ever make is in bad information”.
Unfortunately, there’s a lot of bad information out there.
But… there’s also a lot of good information out there.
Your job is to sort through it, and find the good information.
Once you do, you must devour it, and implement it as fast as humanly possible.
The key lies in the implementation.
It does no good to invest in yourself, if you don’t apply what you’ve discovered.
And that applies to EVERY area of our lives.
Those who succeed most with what I teach are those who implement what I teach.
They’re the “doers”, and when and idea sparks in their mind, they don’t sit around contemplating it.
They take swift, decisive action on that idea.
In short, they implement, and they implement quickly.
By doing so, they’re able to get results, make necessary adjustments, and continue moving forward.
This in turn gives them a return on their investment.
This is an example as it relates to business, but the process is the same for every other area of our lives.
And like Shannon said, when we invest our time, money and energy into something, we value it a lot more than if it was just handed to us.
I’ll take that one step further, and say that the MORE we invest in ourselves, the MORE we value that investment.
Dedicated to your success,
