The VIP Experience

I recently got to take my wife on a week-long vacation to Grand Cayman, and let me tell you, I was excited to have her all to myself for such an extended time.

When you’re parents of 6 children, with the youngest ones being 2 and 4, you don’t get a lot of time to yourself.

Truth is, it’s been a VERY long time since Lisa and I had an entire week of one-on-one time.

Don’t get me wrong, because I love my life and wouldn’t want to change a thing about it, but sometimes it sure is nice to have a break from the kids.

Funny thing was, by day 5 of our trip, Lisa and I were both commenting to each other about how much we missed the kids and that we’d be totally content to go home right then.

Like I said, I truly love my life.

With that said, allow me to share the big “ah ha” I had while on our trip.

We’d gone out to dinner one evening at this very nice Italian restaurant that was right on the ocean in the heart of Grand Cayman.

It was definitely a higher end place, and in my opinion, totally worth the price.

Not only was the food fantastic, but so was the service.

Our waiter was definitely a professional, and knew exactly how to give his guests a VIP Experience.

It was as though the entire evening had been choreographed just for us.

As we finished dinner, Lisa and I were sitting at the table, having a nice conversation and enjoying the evening view.

Next thing we know, a gentleman came to our table and began playing beautiful music on his harp for us.

While I don’t know for sure, I’m guessing that the waiter summoned him.

It was a perfect ending to an incredible evening that left us with an experience that Lisa and I will remember for years to come.

As simple as it is to deliver this kind of VIP experience, I’m amazed that more businesses don’t do it.

In my own business, I too choreograph this kind of experience for my clients who invest in the Automatic Income System.

And like I said, it’s really easy to do.

I simply give people more than they expected to get, by including some unadvertised bonuses along with their order.

But after this amazing experience in Grand Cayman, it’s caused me to think about how I can create even more of a VIP experience for you.

Would $100,000.00 Help You?

That’s where I come in.

And when necessary, as in the case of the client we’ve been talking about, I also show them how to get access to the business funding they need.

After having this recent experience, it made me think of two things…

1. Do you have an incredible idea that would help a lot of people, but you’re not moving forward with it, and ultimately depriving others of the value you could offer, because you mistakenly think you can’t get the business funding you need.

2. Do you dream of having your own business, so you can ultimately have everything else we’ve been talking about, but have never done anything about it because you don’t know where to get the necessary business funding.

I can’t help but think about all the incredible things you could accomplish, all the people you could help, and how well you’d get compensated for doing it… if you only had access to the necessary funds to turn your ideas into reality.

That’s when it dawned on me, I already possess the solution, but until now I’ve only been offering it to existing clients.

But how much good we could do together, how could we completely transform your life, and how many other people could we help… if I were to make this funding bonus available to you at no charge.

The Sky Is No Longer The Limit

Felix Baumgartner made history this week with his skydive from the edge of space, and proved to all of us that the sky is no longer the limit.

We can accomplish anything we set our minds to.

The live feed of his record setting event was viewed by more than 8 million people on You Tube, and when you see it for yourself, you’ll understand why.

Watching this video gave me goosbumps, and I have to imagine it will do the same for you.

It’s simply inspiring!

Copy Cat Marketing

During the last weekend in July, Lisa and I took the kids to Eastern Washington so we could attend our annual family reunion.

As you know, family is really important to me, and this is a 4-day event that I always look forward to.

I not only get to catch up with my extended family (after not seeing most of them for a year), but we also get to relax.

This year we stayed at the Wanapum State Park, right on the Columbia River near Vantage, WA.

Talk about a beautiful place.

Ever since we bought the travel trailer a few years ago, Brock (and now Ellie) are constantly asking to go camping.

I’d argue whether we’re actually camping or not, especially since we have all the comforts of home in the trailer.

But either way… whether we’re camping or RV’ing… I love spending time outdoors like that with the family.

One evening after dinner, I had to snap this photo of Brock and Ellie.

Brock had settled down in a chair to play a game on mom’s Ipod.

Upon seeing this, Ellie insisted that she do the same.

She asked mom for her cell phone, and settled down in the chair right next to Brock.

And the truth is, this is nothing new for her.

Ellie is constantly copying what Brock does.

But it wasn’t until looking through the photos we’d taken from this recent trip that I put two and two together.

As an entrepreneur, I’m like Ellie in so many ways.

In fact, I can’t remember the last time I came up with an original idea.

All I do is look at what other people are doing successfully in business, and figure out how I can copy what they’re doing and use it in my own business.

I’ve done this with marketing, with product creation, coaching program, live events… and everything in between.

Everything I’ve learned to do… I learned by copying what someone else was already doing successfully.

So… if you want to have a successful business of your own, all you have to do is copy what people like myself are doing, and reformat it to be used for your own purpose.

That’s not to say that you’d take one of my products, copy it, and begin distributing it on your own.

That’s illegal.

But you can certainly copy a concept and use it for your own purpose.

For example, there’s MUCH to be copied from my blog alone.

The way I communicate with people, the way I get people to interact with me, the way I get people to tell me what they want, the way I then turn around and give people exactly what they just told me they wanted… and become the hero for doing so.

Like I said, there’s MUCH here for you to copy, and it’s in plain sight.

What you see here on this blog is the core of an extremely successful business.

These Are Impressive Numbers

There aren’t many business owners who would be willing to share the numbers of their business.

Financials and other key business numbers is typically information that is guarded and kept close to the vest.

But, in the interest of being transparent, I’ve always tended to share this kind of thing.

What most business owners keep private, I openly talk about.

I do this in an effort to show you what’s really possible when you implement the strategies I share with you.

And let me tell you, what I’m about to share are some truly impressive numbers.

Allow me to set the stage so you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

For the last several years, many online business owners have been talking about the declining open rates on email.

Apparently people are so busy these days, and their inbox is so overcrowded, that they delete most everything that lands in it… rather than open the emails that people like me send.

My take on this is a little bit different.

Yes, I do believe that people are busy.

I also believe that people sort through their email inbox as quickly as possible… deleting the majority of their emails with a swift click of their mouse.

But here’s the “hook” if you will.

Most of the emails deserve to be deleted because it would be a complete waste of time to open them.

We’ve been so inundated with B.S. marketing emails that do nothing but try to sell, sell, sell us on the next ridiculous thing, that we’ve become completely fed up.

Of course we’re going to delete all that nonsense.


By the same token, there’s certain people we receive emails from, that we would never delete without opening.

In my own life there are several such people.

Joe Polish, Michael Cage and Perry Marshall are 3 people who top the list.

I would NEVER delete an email from any of these 3 gentlemen without opening it and reading it first.


Because they have a personal relationship with me, and I place immense value on that relationship.

In my own business, I’ve always tried to do the same.

My #1 goal has always been to create a meaningful relationship with you.

Do I succeed in doing this with everyone?

Of course not.

But, because it’s my #1 goal, I definitely succeed more than most.

While most online business owners are getting 1-2% open rates on their emails, I steadily get 5-6% open rates.

And keep in mind, that’s when I send an email to my entire subscriber list.

On any given day, 5-6% of the people on my subscriber list will open and read an email when I send it to them.

And let me tell you… that’s HUGE!

As a side note, I’ll also let you know that when I mail to subsections of my list, I can easily get 30… 40… and 50% open rates, but that’s a subject for another day.

The other common myth is that you can’t talk about things that are “off topic” with your subscribers.

Meaning that, if you have a list of subscribers who came to you because they wanted to know how to have a successful online business, you would never talk with them about anything like parenting, weight loss, gardening or any other kinds of topics.

And to that… is say “HOGWASH”.

You’re a person just like me, and you have other interests just like me.

And by gosh, if I have a relationship with you, we might talk about a myriad of topics.

Sure, our conversation will be primarily focused on the topic at hand, but I have no problem discussing other topics, especially if it will be of interest to you.

Case in point – the email I recently sent out titled “End Your Child’s Tantrums”.

As the photo above shows, this email got a 5.39% open rate and 1,824 people opened it.

As I’ve shared, that’s pretty common.

I get that kind of open rate every day.

But here’s what’s really interesting.

410 people clicked on the link in that email, and went to the website I shared with them.

That’s a 22.4% click through rate, and let me tell you, that is INCREDIBLE, especially when you consider that this email was clearly “off topic”.

The reason I share this is simple.

I could never get these kind of results if I didn’t have a strong relationship with you.

Because I’ve focused my efforts on building this relationship, you know that I have your best interest in mind.

You also know that I’d never steer you wrong.

If I tell you about something, or make a recommendation, you know that it must be worthwhile.

If it weren’t, I wouldn’t bother sharing it with you.

So there you have it…

Actual numbers that show the value and importance of having a relationship with the people you serve in your business as well.

By focusing on the relationship first, you’ll easily be able to produce income whenever you want.

When people know you, like you and trust you – they’ll gladly invest in what you have to offer, assuming it’s a right fit for them.

The most important thing you can ever do is maintain the relationship you have with the people you serve.
