Christmas From Brock’s Perspective

In the interest of being politically correct, some would say that you shouldn’t wish people a “Merry Christmas”.

I got an entertaining email from famous marketer, Frank Kern this morning, where he mentioned that some attorneys might recommend saying, “Happy non-denominational period of celebration.”

After all, we don’t want to offend anyone.

To that I say BAH HUMBUG.

While I don’t set out to offend people intentionally, I also realize the importance of being myself.

So I want to take this moment to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

As we come to the end of 2009, I thought it only fitting to do something a little out of the ordinary.

Since I consider you family, I’ve decided to share the photo (it’s above) and letter that we sent to all of those closest to us this year.

You probably got some of these letters yourself – from your friends and family.

And most of the time, they’re dry, boring letters.

I have to hand it to my wife Lisa though, because she does her best to keep our yearly Christmas letter entertaining.

Here it is – Christmas from Brock’s perspective…

= = =

I decided to do mommy a favor and write the Christmas letter from a toddler’s perspective, so sit down, sip some chocolate milk and enjoy.

This has been a year to remember. I for one learned to walk and keep everyone on their toes chasing after me. I find it funny when I’m corrected and have a vocabulary of a three year old.

Yes, you heard it right, I am Brock the magnificent, and I brightened my whole family’s life the day I was born.

Enough about me. Let me tell you about being the youngest of four way older siblings.

I know how to manipulate everyone in the family, because they know I’m cute and they can’t resist my laugh and smile.

Everyone in the family loves me to the moon and back.

I like it when Jerry chases me around the house. Kaitlynn helps take care of me and teaches me awesome dance moves. Thanks to Kait, I know how to shake my booty.

Michaela reads me books and gives me baths.

This summer, I was a ring bearer at Adam and Teasha’s wedding. I hope I look like him when I get older. Our family had fun being together and dancing all afternoon.

I have a feeling there is something going on, my mommy’s tummy is big and she keeps telling me to kiss baby Elliana.

I think I’m going to have a baby sister pretty soon.

I’m going to be so jealous because I’m the family’s baby. What am I going to do?

I love my daddy he is the greatest! I run into his office while he’s doing his calls and jump on his lap. Mommy tries to catch me before I burst through the office doors, but most the time she’s too slow.

Well… it’s my bedtime. I hope you enjoy the Christmas Season as much as me.

I love taking ornaments off the tree and running my monster trucks over the little people in the Christmas village. If you haven’t done this yet, give it a try. It’s a lot of fun.

I hope you enjoyed my letter and your cup of chocolate milk while reading it. Have a wonderful New Year.

Love,
Brock Thompson , Mommy, Daddy, Kaitlynn and baby Elliana

P.S. Don’t forget to pull Santa’s beard so you can make sure he is the real thing.

I’ll be laying low over the Holiday’s and spending time with the family, just as I’m sure you’ll be doing.

I’ll also be putting the finishing touches on a couple things because I’ve got some REALLY cool stuff in the works, and am excited to help make 2010 your best year ever.

Dedicated to your success,
