Can you teach someone to be a coach at any age? I am 52, was self employed most of my adult life until the last few years. I sold my business for an opportunity with a startup and have been stuck in limbo for last 2 1/2 years working 3 jobs and barely surviving. Any advice would be appreciated

I am currently a high paid corporate consultant would like to understand how to change my audience and message – moving from corporate to working with individuals.

  72. I’ve always enjoyed helping people. I’m a “retired” dental hygienist (because I can’t do the physical work anymore–I’m 53), former certified pole dance instructor, real estate investor (unsuccessful) dog trainer and now start up tee shirt biz entrepreneur. I honestly don’t know what my focus would be, but I see a need for the 50+ community who are seeking additional income (or a new career such as myself) as well as “love” in this later stage of life. I have a good friend in NJ who is an outstanding relationship coach. I know there is opportunity in coaching, and it seems that a new coach is popping up out of the blue every few minutes. How can someone with zero experience starting out develop enough credibility to become successful in a relatively short time? PS…I’d be interested in getting some coaching from Jerome Albrect to learn how to trade options! 🙂

  124. Danny Welsh says:

I’ve made a few bucks in my career as a consultant and coach both. I do better consulting more with clients that have some wherewithal to implement some of the stuff I teach them or show them that takes more than just elbow grease (i.e. startup capital or an existing business). Still, the most satisfying experiences have always been helping people start (or grow) businesses thru joint ventures of some kind that often don’t require much if any money. Count me in for the training if it has’t been done. I read the recent comments and did an in-page find on the keyboard but didn’t see anything.
