Our household is on Cloud 9 today as we anticipate the birth of Elliana Marie Thompson.
Lisa’s due date is this Sunday – March 21st.
But…
She’s going in for a pregnancy massage today.
And that sheds a whole new light on things.
When the massage lady called yesterday to confirm the appointment, she asks Lisa, if she was ready to have the baby.
She then goes on to say, “You might want to have someone else drive you here for your appointment because it’s possible that we could induce labor”.
As you can imagine, it’s an exciting time around here.
And needless to say, I’ve got to remain extremely flexible with my schedule.
If Elliana comes calling, I’ll be running – to the hospital that is.
I want to thank all of you who have already sent well wishes for Lisa and the baby.

Congratulations on your forthcoming “bundle of joy”. Do hope all goes well for Mum and baby (and Dad, of course!). It’s so exciting and such a wonderful time – just try to remember every moment – good or not so good, ‘cos they won’t happen quite the same again and should be cherished. Lisa, make sure you really enjoy that cup of tea afterwards, I can still remember how wonderful that tasted (assuming new mums are still treated to such a delicacy!!) and that was 35 years ago!
I’m due to become a grandmother for the second time around the end of April and will be off to San Diego to be with my daughter for the birth. I shall be doing my duties as “Nana” with Olivia, granddaughter number one and soon to be “big sister” – needless to say I shall loathe every minute, NOT.

I don’t know if the happy event has occurred but if not, then i wish you all the best for the adventure. Having been in the same place as you Lisa several times (four daughters and five granddaughters for which i was lucky enough to be there for the birth of each) you know that any thoughts of pain will fade the moment you hold your precious new child in your arms. I feel sorry for you Kevin in that you won’t ever be in a position to experience what Lisa will be experiencing but by sharing the whole process with her and being there for Elliana’s delivery will you give you a certain sense of the occassion. You may not have had the luxury of being able to appreciate this at Brock’s birth so i hope that you do this time (being an old hand and all!!

CONGRATULATIONS!! all. Lisa wish you an easy delivery. This is an exciting time. I have two children, a girl and boy. One suggestion that was given to me and worked very well, was I had a present for my daughter from her new baby brother (at the hospital when they first met). I have always fostered them to stick together and they still do (now 21, and 18). A child is a gift from God. I know Brock will be a GREAT big brother. You are all very blessed!

What a blessing. I have had Twelve pregancies.I have 13 chidren, 1 Set of twins.six girls and seven boys. It is great now that they are grown up,it was quite a task when they were young. I feel so blessed, what a joyest time ahead for you.

Kevin – tell Lisa that I watched a lot of Home and Garden TV (HGTV)while waiting for both my girls to come. There was something so nice about watching all that decorating and those soothing voices, no huge conflict, no murders (!) – so that’s my big suggestion…and lots of popsicles to stay hydrated – for both of you!
