Get Passionate – Or Give It Up

Get Passionate – Or Give It Up

I’ve been talking about this for years.

Being in business solely to make a buck is a recipie for failure.

If you want to be successful and make money, you gotta be passionate about what you do.

And let me tell you, this guy gets it.

Talk about PASSIONATE.

After watching this. Leave me your thoughts.

If I don’t get any comments, I’m gonna stop sending cool stuff like this your way.

Dedicated to your success,

I see that you are a motivator. I happen to be one also. You are a young motivator

I am an old one. Keep it up, it’s something our nation needs. It’s reassuring to see

young motivators showing how to get the job done. Keep it up, don’t quit!

    This speaks volumes!

same old pump up, say nothing new, programmed bull sh**. the cursing was totally uncalled for, the wrist sweatband looked gay and his momma needed to dress him better

  5. Simon says:

This guy has it all sussed but why it did it take him so long to realise his thing – all those years in the wine shop wasting his time.

    Passion and fire man !!!

All good stuff but no specifics about how he got there and how he achieved his current status.

  6. Hey Kevin: You haven’t heard from me before but you will in the future as I can now concentrate
totally on getting this business up and running. Gary Vaynerchut, minus his sort-of-bad language does succeed in getting his message across about being passionate and I have to agree that I definitely need to be reminded of what I really want someties. Life and complacency just seems to get in the way sometimes.
I was involved in another project but I really dislike it when you join something and they say they will help you but never seem to answer any questions – I got responses but never any answers to my questions so I have not walked away from that. My gut feeling is that if I can’t get answers to the ‘little’ questions, what happens when I have ‘big’ questions.
I am looking forward to working with you and your team. Too many Internet people out there are just telling stories – - at least you had the pictures, etc to back yours so I really want to succeed as you have. I must say that one thing I really like about your program is that you allow people to communicate with others in the program. With this other one I was just in, I often felt like I was the Lone Ranger and there was nobody else there. Weird feeling.

  7. John says:

Men, this is awesome. Just what the doctor ordered for this depressive times of endless bad news about the economy and the world economic situation.
Thanks. I have been inspired afresh.

  8. Vicky McLaurin says:

Hi Kevin, who IS this guy? I loved his straight talking, no-bullshit approach. I agree about the passion – but, I can’t seem to find mine. I’m all over the place and losing interest and money with everything I try. What’s a girl to do??? Help!! Vicky

  9. Phil says:

Now that guy does have some energy.

thanks Kevin for sending that. He really has me thinking about what I really love to do.

  10. James A. (Jim) Fenton says:

You have a great message!!! Why dilute the impact with the garbage trash coming out of your mouth just for laughs? You can be just as humorous without that because the creator had given you a gift to put to better use. You are too good for that and I hope you take a look at the following experience I had years ago. This is in no way to elevate me as a person, only to hopefully help you realize you can capture the whole audience in front of you without losing a single person, because there are others (many) you very well will turn off who will really not “hear” your message.

Late in WWII a tremendous highly decorated veteran Marine Master Gunnery Sergeant was assigned to my command. His mouth was so foul he couldn’t say five words without swearing ten times and using the kind of language you use. After several weeks and just before we had to ship out for a special mission, he came to my office and said the following: “Sir, I need to know what really makes you tick. You don’t – and he named about six things I didn’t do (foul language being one), then he said – but you are a hell of a Marine!” I’d like to take the space to tell you the rest of the story but, suffice it to say, he respected me for the officer I was because he almost had to, yet he recognized his foul language wasn’t a badge of distinction. As difficult as it was for him, he conquered the habit and our team recognized it enough to follow his lead – and it inspired a closeness we needed for the job in front of us. (I shortened the story for the sake of brevity, but you can’t imagine the affect that had on our unit at a critical time.)

Kevin, I’m as imperfect as the next guy, and perhaps too outspoken because we do not know each other, but success comes as you indicated through passion and caring for those around you. You miss the point of contact with some people with your language and at critical time in the history of our once great nation. Above all we need to add building as perfect a values system as is possible.

    Kevin, give it a try.

Praying for your continued success as you reach out to everyone in your audience, I am

    Sincerely,

  11. Rick says:

Great truth in what he says. I believe he could have been just as passionate about his passion without the use of vulgarity. I know we have all heard those words before; however, we do not need to hear them again if at all possible. The use of the language will limit the number of people that I could in good conscience send this video to (even though EVERYONE I know needs to hear it).

  12. Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the video. The thing I’m most passionate about is telling others about the words of Jesus…and the internet is the perfect place to do this. But up until recently, I’d never thought too much about making money from my passion…in fact, I guess you could say, I didn’t think I should.

But I retired this past January, and my only source of income now is a $670.00/month Social Security check. During the past few months I’ve had lots of time to pray and to think…and I no longer think it’s wrong to make money from telling others about the words of Jesus. In fact, I think God wants me to make money from it…and has given me such a small income, as to ‘force’ me to do it.

That’s why two months ago I enrolled in Mack Michaels’ Maverick Money Makers Club…Mack is how I heard about your tele-seminar. Mack’s club is great, but there is a tremendous amount of information to absorb…and the info is geared towards affiliate sales more than towards my passion. I fear it will be months, and maybe years, before I can formulate a workable blueprint that I can use, but that is my present goal.

And oh, sorry I didn’t respond to your other questonaire…no offense intended. You were asking how much money it would take to make me happy, and I couldn’t answer that because I learned at age 25, while very succesful and living in Hawaii, that money alone can’t give me happiness. And I think you asked what would I need to be successful, and I couldn’t answer that because I feel that I’ve been very successful and blessed my entire life…especially when I look at my 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

So…again thanks for the video, and please continue to send anything that you think might help…it will definitely be used and appreciated.

    Take care.

But I have one little challenge, at the moment I don’t have a credit card to pay with and its going to take some days for me process one. So PLEASSSSSSSSSSE, could you help keep one of the High Speed System(I know I’m asking for a favour). I have never done something like thing before because I just don’t trust a lot of these people but some how i believe everything you said and I believe you are for real. Please you have to bear with me on my level ignorance. I do not even have a web site of my own. I believe you are the real deal and i need you to PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSE take me through every step of the way. Thank you so much and may the LORD bless you for being an answer to the prayers of many. Thank you once again.

  18. Diane Leblanc says:

Hi yes he has alot of passion and so do I, only one thingthat I lose out on is the internet, I have olot of probleme under standing it. I tried last night to find the offer you gave me but like you see I did not find it. It is not because I did not tried, I listen and read and reread and Ilost out I guess the internet is to big for me, but that is not going to stop me. thank you Kevin Diane

  19. Hey Kevin, I really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing. It’s sooooo true, if you don’t have passion about what you’re doing, you will never achieve true success in it. Why do something you hate?

  20. Thanks Kevin. He’s on fire. Patience and passion. Outstanding formula.

  21. Bill Downing says:

Kevin I love your threat motivation. “If you don’t comment I will stop sharing”.
Way over the top kind of guy but the world needs more of this kind of thing in order to jump start the lethargy that is society today. He definitely is wired for loud, “I am here…Look at me!”. He makes it work because he cares for people so much.
I hope this will allow you to continue sharing with complete freedom and in good conscience.
    Thanks

  22. Cemşir says:

  23. Cynthia Dolliole says:

This stuff needs to be taught in all our schools. That would turn this economy around in a hurry. The only way to be passionate about what you’re doing is to do the thing you love, I know this to be true. Thanks for sharing this, we all need to watch it over and over and share it with as many other people as possible. Thanks again for all you do to help so many.

  24. Greg says:

This guy is right on target. I believe the message is, Hurry up and do something before life passes you by.

  25. dare says:

    good stuff very encouraging

  26. LEE says:

    love it

  27. Well now, he’s a REAL inspiration for me to follow!
He turned me off when he walked on stage with his attire [you only get one chance to make a first impression]…he then proceeded to totally lose me with his constant frown, frantic pacing and his vulgar language.
If I’m going to follow someone he/she needs the full professional package…grooming, attire, vocabulary, expressions, etc.
This guy is the opposite of professional and I quit watching after about 1 min.
As a technical instructor for 11 years I learned that replacing vulgar words with unusual descriptive words had more positive impact on my audience, provided a sense of levity and kept the audience interested in what I was saying. No one says ‘Heavens No!’…’You’re full of spaghetti!’…’You foolin’ me?’, ‘Aw, bent straw!’, etc. The belief that using bad/vulgar words lets you bond with the audience because you’re using their vocabulary does not gain you any professional status. If you’re the achiever why would you want to reduce yourself to a lower level?
There’s much to be gained by re-reading the story from the Marine Officer in Item 10.

  28. I love his attitude and passion.
I have the passion, just going thru a learning curve in figuring out how to get some of the details completed. These types of videos and your ongoing emails help keep me motivated to continue to learn.

    thanks!

    Thanks—-thanks—-thanks.

  31. Hi Kevin,

you are absolutely correct! This guy has all the passion in the world. Bless him and his message, and his ability to share is with all. We must care and communicate with others. It is not enough to make money, you must share knowledge and know how. Take care of your friends and your down line, hopefully they can be one and the same.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Bill

  32. Kev,

While I agree that Gary Vee’s language leaves something to be desired, his message is solid — although missed by a number of those commenting here, it seems.

The world is changing. The big controllers of information are being rendered irrelevant. It is up to each of us to do what we love and find a way to create value for others. If we don’t, there will be nothing flowing our direction, either. And it’s too difficult to do something you hate every day for the rest of your life when there are no guarantees. There is no “security”. It’s all up to me and you and each individual. Create the value for others and you’ll thrive. Don’t, and you’re on a slippery slope.

From the talk: “Which tools? All of them!” is right on, as well. Glad to see you using Twitter, Facebook, and the other new tools. It’s never going to stop. We have to keep watching, learning, and making use of what’s there.

    Thanks again, Kevin!

    Caring and very passionate!!!

  34. Lew says:

    Now there’s a straight shooter!

  35. This kid was most definitely passionate. I like his message. Many will dismiss him b/c of foul language, bad appearance, and his ultra agressiveness. These things should not phase us as individuals. If that is the way he chooses for HIMSELF then there it is. We all have these pre- conceived notions on how we should act, then go ahead. Be what you THINK you should. That doesn’t mean however that we should want to make another be what we want them to be. Just because someone doesn’t follow YOUR mold doesn’t mean that what ever they have to offer is null and void. Whenever we shut our minds down for what ever reason then much is lost. Open up, take in what can help for you. Therein we will be able to truly help others by listening to what they have to say and NOT how they do it and how they look doing it. If we can get over ourselves then and only then will we be able to get up and over our own problems, wishes, and get our dreams realized quicker.

Thanks Kevin! Best wishes for all,

The guy has passion! Heart beats brainy every time!

  38. Jump to the beat ……nice to see and hear a passionate speech on passion. If you could package up and sell it we all would make a fortune

  39. I liked it. You can tell he has passion.

  40. jason says:

    Fantastic kevin! Fan freakin tastic

  43. I got it. After I quite fighting with what I really wanted to do and am going to do it now, I have become passionate about getting really going so I can start work on it.
I will be using my experience to help others turn their lives around. And yes I do have a lot of
experience about turning my life around. I know I can help others people and I am called to do it.
This tape was very good about passion and patience but lets clean up the act ok?
I am so anxious to talk with you tomorrow. Thanks Kevin for sticking in there to help people
any way you can. Carol Spealman

  44. John says:

Great stuff! Doing what you love beats the pants on just doing what you do. Find the passion and the rewards will follow.

  45. Anton says:

    Hi Kevin,

I like that video very much. The Language or jargon? This doesn’t really matter. The main important point is the language and in some way the humor. Okay, not everybody has the to hear vulgar language, but it is important that the core message is going to you. And it is true that to start up a business is not as everyone promises as like a walk to the beach and laying in the sun. To start it it takes time and a real iron will. You cannot do a business without having some passion about what you are doing and I feel Gary Vaynerchut has passion about what he is doing even if he uses a jargon that not everybody likes.

Just imagine someone would make the same video and talk like an academic I think nobody will listen to the end. So, I thing the language isn’t that important as long as your message will be absorbed. And I think in that sense he did a great job.

Thanks Kevin for this video because it always reminds us what we have to do with a business when we start up work, work and work. There comes a time afterward where you can slow down if you made the right decision but this will only be happen on the internet. The off line business won’t give you the same chance. Because I’ve lived it for thirteen years. If you don’t work you won’t get money. I hope that with your system this will change.

    Thanks, Kevin

  46. Dave Spencer says:

That was fantastic! I just received my systen and listened to the first CD then watched this and am now looking forward to beginning my own buisness especially with the tools provided
    Thanks Kevin!!!

  47. The cursing was totally unnecessary. I have been taught to be professional, you should never cuss. He did speak with passion. I do believe in helping others and in the process I get helped. It is not enough to just make money, you must share know how and knowledge. I am still limited on the know how and knowledge.

Any help will really be appriacated.
    Thanks to you Kevin.

  48. Diana says:

I agree with Rick…This guy has a great message with much truth…We all need to hear this. Yet the messages could have beem just as passionately shared without the use of vulgarity. I find that offensive.

That said, keep sharing all the great stuff you come across, Kevin!

    Diana

  49. Dave says:

This guy ROCKS, I’d love to see him in person. It’s not often you see someone who cares more for his clients than the almighty $. He talks about believing in your products as well as youself. I believe this to be a major key to success.

Thanks for sharing Kevin, very motivational.

  50. kris fultz says:

He did’nt say what I already didn’t know. He wasted 15 minutes saying really nothing. I work in a factory, and have worked in various factories for 24 years. I know what hard work really is. I want to get out of factory work and start my own business, but my problem is the start up capital. Eventually, I’ll get there.

I would have gotten more out of it if He would have useful tips about what He talked about. He should have been more constructive instead of insulting everyones thoughts but his own!Yea He might like poeople, But He doesn’t need to call them all doushebags.!! He just don’t get the WHOLE picture.!!!!!
I was not impressed with him at all.!!!!

  51. Trish says:

This is a great speech for those of us stuck in the day to day ugliness of working for others and doing what we think we should do…gives much for thought: find a way to do what you want to do and make money at it.

  52. Craig says:

    Kevin,

You sure did get the responses you hoped for so keep sending links like this out. This guy has a passion like there is no tomorrow. That is hard to match but having even a few percentage points of his would push most of us to great success.

Me, I’m looking for people who are sick and tired of being sick and tired. If they don’t know what they want or they don’t have even a little bit of money to invest in themselves and their future I have to move on but I wish them well.

    Keep it coming,

    Craig

  53. Gil Lalanne says:

    Hi Kevin

    Thanks Kevin

  54. Jeff Kaplan says:

I took a lot of notes.
His cussing didn’t bother me so much. That is not my style, but his underlying message was great-if you want more out of life, you have to hustle. We’re building a business, not having a party. Everybody has time. Hustle, patience, and don’t give up.

This Video was inspiring, and congruent with what I am all about-helping and truly caring about others. In concrete terms, it means answering all your emails. I also like his answer to the question, Which tools should I use? All of them, and then he follows with, “Connect with people every way you can, as often as you can.”
    Good stuff!

  55. the bullet points to change in your life if you were not HAPPY or
if you did not LOVE what you were doing then change the direction of your life.He did not have to SWEAR nor did he have to scream and yell to get his point across. His passion for changing the direction of his life or to help others change their directions to achieve happiness would have had a greater impact on myself if he did not use the vulgar words. I absolutely cannot stand the “F” word. There is always another way to “skin” the cat to get your point across that life is too short and to be unhappy and miserable in whatever you are doing is strict YOUR CHOICE. We must take charge of our health as well as our wealth in today’s society. Giving back and helping others answer. No one on this planet earth can get ahead without the help of someone else. It is time for all of us to turn a hand to helping each other become successful in our lives. Age is not a factor either. A side note… How many of us have gone lately to any VETERANS home or hospital to thank them for the freedom we experience in America to have the choice to be happy and become passionate
about whatever it is in LIFE!! Life is way tooo short to even take anything for granted. One day I had my cousin and the next day we got word he was shot down in Viet Nam and he left behind a 5 yr. old and a set of twins. I was teaching one day in my classroom and a t.v. vcr cart fell backwards
causing my neck to snap and my “ideal” life changed in a heartbeat. Last week my young son-in-law
had a liver transplant and we are so grateful for a new change at life!!
Be happy, passionate & for heaven sake live life to the fullest. Kevin Thompson I feel is doing just that for me. I thank God everyday for having found Kevin Thompson through Tellman Knudson.

    I care about your health.

The truth about determination has been put out with a very aggressive language and body language. It could be said in just three sentences, full of content and without anger.
He never had a relaxed eyebrow because he had success – I don’t believe he had the success, he just played the stage role. Drama of anger in success – does not transmit the signals of better life.
    Where is the trust element?

  57. Alison says:

Yep i loved it! Caring about people and getting outside of yourself is the key to life and the rest will follow.
i have to add another “P” for persistence. Nothing beats that. you gotta love it.

  58. Alison says:

by the way…for all those people who are offended by the couple of swear words…..COME ON, look beyond the apparency to the reality – this guy has energy and communicated it to people – good on ya mate!

  59. Susan says:

This guy is awesome. I love to see young guys come out with so much enthusiasm and so much caring for people. His language is just his style and for me it’s easy to see past it to what he’s really saying. Please keep em coming, Kevin! And I do think it’s funny that some people thought he was you – you both have lots of energy and passion but beyond that your style is so completely different.

  60. Randy says:

    Kevin,
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Gary V. is PASSIONATE about what he is doing! I don’t care for his swearing, since I am trying to stop mine. However, I do my best to listen past that language in order to hear the message that is being shared. Gary V. really believes in what he is doing, and it shows. Thank you for ‘reminding’ me of how important it is to care for people!

  61. thomas says:

Understand what he is saying, many people do things they dont love, go to a boring job, get home watch boring tv, go to sleep for example. do things you love everyday. If you are passionate for somethings do it, dont come up with excuses.

  62. Jerry says:

Kevin, if we could all get that passion there would be no failures. His words didnot offend me as that is the way many people today express themselves. I appreciate your making this available as it makes me want to be on your team and get PASSIONATE.

  63. Mariana says:

Thanks for the video. Really cool! Nice to hear a biz man talk like that.
I AM passionate but still don’t know what to do nor where to start.
I left you a tel. messg. saying I couldn’t contact your phone training last Tuesday… and I still don’t know what happened.

  70. Tim says:

Great energy and to the point. Respected his prior work situation. We do have time… just need to have passion, patience and work hard for our goals.. Thanks, Kevin….

  72. Sandra Hildreth says:

Man that fellow sure is fired up, so much so that his voice seemed to be giving him
a little bit of trouble. Anyway, he is right about doing what you can be passionate
about, otherwise you are just spinning your wheels.

    Very enjoyable!!

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  73. Richard says:

From this video, Gary seems very passionate. He isn’t really saying anything new. His delivery is different…much different than what conventional wisdom says a speaker or expert should behave. He broke the mold. Gary has found a NICHE, and he fills it. It’s like the first car alarms…early on, a car alarm generated interest. Today, any car alarm is roundly ignored. Gary has seen the light…at least for now.
