Seattle is an incredibly beautiful city, and as I was browsing through my videos, I found one that has a unique view of the city.
This one is from the top of the Space Needle… coming down.
It was filmed last July, and I thought that sharing it with you now (in the middle of winter), might warm you up a little.
Enjoy.
Dedicated to your success,

P.S. – There’s a marketing lesson here as well. See if you can catch it.

Not a clue on the marketing lesson, Kevin, but loved your video of beautiful Seattle. Never been.
Gratefully,
Chris
How sweet! I remember standing at the base of the Space Needle the year it opened (1962 Seattle Worlds’s Fair) while it was being painted! I was four years old:-)

I thought that was awesome! It certainly warmed me up, as it is -40 degrees celcius where I live.
Hay kevin! That looked real good from what I seen, But I’m sure it was a better view on the Elvater! THANKS
A marketing lesson..? I figure is the elevator dropping you off at the gift shop on the way down. Experiencing that beautiful view tends to make people feel good and so, in a prime mood for buying.
Hi Kevin:
Thanks for sharing. Seattle is a beautiful city. Living in Chicago where the temp.
is 10 degrees and looking at the beautiful view outside the space needle does tend to
give a warm feeling.
Nice. Been to Seattle twice but never been to the Space Needle. Maybe next time?
Marketing lesson? I see several.
1) Always lead your customer to the next sale…immediately. (after exiting the elevator)
2) Set the mood without phony elevator music
3) Make sure your windows are clean so as not to obstruct the view
4) Squeeze as many people in an elevator as you can to maximize the $$$ per square foot to profit ratio.
Any more?

Several lessons that I could see. 1) Make sure the lighting is right.2) Take care of the baby. 3) Remember that you are marketing to a Family and thus always be ethical and caring in your Behavior & Languaging in your product management. 4) Become affiliated with young families products for that is always a growth business. 5) Thus make sure your product is backed up for safety to the best of your ability and beyond.
Hey Everybody!
As Kevin said:
“There is a marketing lesson here.”
I guess the lesson I got was that not everyone
is comfortable at the top…
(financial success at the top)
It may be scary looking down when
you realize how high it is. Plus,
not everyone is comfortable being at
that level.
Many people are comfortable
being at the same level with others –
being average
physically and even financially.
Thanks everyone!!
Pretentious. A bad joke. I’m out-a-here.
I think inside the elevator there were a number of for a start there was baby clothes, cosmetics for the ladies also dress designs footware, mens attire, leather belts, due to the fact plastic can give the wearer an infection, Handbags, shopping bags, haversacks, also, these mobile baby carry cots, baby powders, cameras, films, these are a few of what I observed which could be a good sales market, also Photographs of SEATLE.
Thanks for the mini-vacation! Seattle is one of my favorite cities.
Spitting everyone out right smack into the gift shop…I think that counts as direct marketing, doesn’t it?
Hi Everyone,
Hope you’re having a GREAT Holiday Season.
After looking at your comments, some of you are taking this to an entirely new level.
Louise, you were the first one to correctly identify the marketing lesson I was trying to make.
And my freind Brett…
Why am I not surprised that you came up with four take-aways from the video. You definitely are observant.
Damian and Scott – you also make some great observations.
And finally…
Kara, you too hit the nail on the head, and brought up the point I wanted to make.
Also Kara, thanks so much for the check that you sent to the Thompson Family Foundation.
After receiving it, Lisa made a video, and I’m getting ready to post it to the blog right now.
