Now That’s Dangerous

After more flight delays on the way back from Tampa, I’m home again, but only for a short time.

I leave again on October 31st, to attend the Glazier-Kennedy Info Summit in St. Louis.

Some of you have been asking, “Kevin, why do you go to so many seminars? After all, you’re already very successful and it’s obvious that you don’t need to attend those events any longer”.

All I can say is – that’s a VERY dangerous way to think.

Smart entrepreneurs understand that they’ll NEVER know it all.

That’s why we’re continually expanding our knowledge, by attending seminars and being active members of mastermind groups.

In one of my mastermind groups, there’s a member who recently left us.

Why?

Because he felt that he was doing well enough on his own, so therefore, he didn’t need to be a part of the group any longer.

What a HUGE mistake on his part.

I happen to know that while his business is doing pretty well, he’s still got massive room for improvement.

And without the input from the rest of the group, his business growth will be seriously stunted.

The worst number in any business is the number 1.

I’d hate to think what my business would be like if I was like a ship at sea, floating around all by myself.

I gladly welcome the help of other successful entrepreneurs and couldn’t imagine being without access to their ideas and opinions.

In fact – I’ve lost track of the number of times I was facing a challenge in my business, and couldn’t see the solution on my own.

But, after a brief conversation with one of my mastermind partners, I had the answer I needed, and was able to overcome the challenge I was up against.

You see, we entrepreneurs tend to get emotionally attached to our business, and this can cloud our judgment, as well as our problem solving capabilities.

But, when we’re able to solicit the help of an outside party (who isn’t emotionally attached to our business), they’re able to see things in a different light, and get us going in the right direction.

That being said, I’ll never quit attending events and seminars that give me the opportunity to spend time with like-minded business owners.

And while I’m at it, allow me to let you in on another little secret.

There are countless successful entrepreneurs who attend these events.

People who think to themselves, “I would never spend munee on something like that”, are truly missing the boat.

To this day, I have received a huge return on investment from EVERY event and seminar I’ve attended.

That’s why I continue to go to these events, and be an active member of multiple mastermind groups.

As we approach 2008, I’m preparing to accept 9 applications for my private Mentor-Apprentice Group.

I’ll be getting more details to you in the next month, so keep an eye out for it, as these available openings will fill very quickly.

Dedicated to your success,
Kevin Thompson

P.S. Several of you have been asking for advance information on the Mentor-Apprentice Group, but in order to be fair to everyone else, I’m going to make the announcement to everyone at the same time. Stay tuned for all the details.
