The Game Has Changed

I was recently talking with one of my mentors, and we were doing some goal-setting for this year.

During the course of our conversation, he noticed that virtually NONE of my goals were related to money, or creating more income.

Instead, I had goals like:

Use my business to change the lives of 40,000 people this year.

Provide my clients with far more value than they expected to receive.

Continue to have fun and enjoy my business to the fullest.

Meet and make lasting friendships with more movers and shakers in the business world.

After seeing this, he says, “Kevin, I understand where you’re coming from, because I have the same kinds of goals for my own business, but you’re still not leveraging your BIGGEST asset”.

“And what’s that”?, I asked.

“Well”, he goes on, “You’ve got to the point in your life where you’re now associated with some of the most successful and influential people in the business world.

You need to start introducing your members to these people”.

After hearing this, I knew he was right.

Here’s why:

In June of last year, I joined Joe Polish’s Mastermind Group.

As you know, I’m already in Matt Furey’s group and travel to Tampa four times a year to participate in his mastermind meetings.

Adding more travel to my schedule didn’t overly excite me, but Joe and I go back a long ways.

He’s the one who helped me turn my original business (the cleaning company) around, so I already knew the value that he brings to the table.

The interesting thing about Joe’s group isn’t so much the investment.

Yes, at 25 Grand, it’s a substantial investment. But unlike most groups I’ve been a part of, Joe doesn’t allow you to make monthly payments on the fee.

In order to be in the group, you’ve got to give him the 25 Grand – up front.

Now… you might think that’s crazy, but Joe’s got a method to his madness.

He doesn’t want anyone in the group who can’t afford to write a check that large.

And I have to admit, even though I’ve known Joe for a long time now – I seriously wondered if it would be worth the investment. Isn’t it funny how our mind thinks that way at times?

Anyways, here it is, less than a year later, and I’m no longer having those thoughts.

Since being a member of Joe’s group, I’ve had the pleasure to meet some of the most incredible, forward thinking people on the planet.

My income has increased as a result of being in this group.

My lifestyle has improved.

The relationship I have with friends, family and business contacts has been taken to a whole new level.

And most importantly – the way I now “think” is entirely different.

If you read my emails regularly, you’ve noticed a HUGE change in the way I communicate with you.

You’ve been the direct beneficiary of the mastermind groups I’m in, the people I’ve met and the way of “thinking” that has come from it.

And now – I’m about to take things to an even HIGER level for you.

I recently had a phone conversation with a gentleman I met in Joe’s group. I won’t tell you his name, but if I were to do so, you’d immediately know who he is.

During this conversation he was asking me some VERY personal questions about my business.

You see, the two of us were getting ready to work on a big project together, and he needed to get an idea of how we should best approach things.

One of the questions he asked was, “How much money did you make last year”?

When I gave him the answer, his response shocked me

Upon hearing the figure he said, “Well Kev, the good news is, you’ve got MASSIVE room for improvement”.

Talk about an eye-opener. Truth is, I did quite well last year, especially when you consider the economic climate. Yet here’s this guy telling me that I’ve got massive room for improvement.

Let me ask you something – when was the last time someone told you that.

Have you ever shared with someone the success you were having (as you think to yourself that you’re doing REALLY well) and had them respond by saying, “The good news is, you’ve got massive room for improvement”?

My guess is that you’ve never had such an experience. Or, if you did, it shocked you, just as it shocked me.

Yet I’m hear to tell you, in my world, this is becoming common place.

And now – I’m going to give you a “back stage pass” to this incredible world of movers and shakers.

But, before I do, I need to make sure that the two of us are on the same wave length.

I need to make sure that we’ve got a connection.

I need to make sure that we’re “thinking” in the same manner.

So… let me tell you what I’ve discovered about these ultra successful business owners that I’ve had the privilege of spending so much time with. The same people I’m about to introduce YOU to.

More importantly, allow me to give you a glimpse into how they “think”

They’re firmly convinced that they’re operating on a different level than the majority of the population. Now, this is not to say that they think they’re better than anyone else. They simply believe that they possess information and contacts that the majority of people do not possess, and as a result, they have a HUGE advantage.

They believe that they’re on a mission to use their businesses to help as many people as they possibly can. Their #1 goal is NOT making money. They already have nice incomes, their families are provided for – and now, their gratification comes from helping others. And, it doesn’t matter what their business sells.

They believe that money is attracted – NOT made. Talk about a shift in mindset. And the truth is, I’ve come to believe the same thing. Being a part of Matt Furey’s Mastermind Group, he began teaching me this concept several years ago. It was a little bit challenging for me to accept at first, but now I’ve proven it to be true. In fact, I could tell you countless stories of how money has been attracted into my life.

They believe that they’re in control of their own destiny. And as a result, they don’t spend time thinking about the recession that the media keeps telling us about. Now don’t get me wrong, they realize that things are going on around us, but they also understand that they possess specialized knowledge and systems for selling and doing business. These systems are proven and produce profitable results… EVEN during a recession.

They’re tied into a network of people and have access to legitimately useful “how to” information on what’s working NOW for others in the group. The relationship with these peers causes them to believe that they can do anything, and accomplish anything, regardless of outside circumstances. And why wouldn’t it. When you’re continually surrounded by peers who are having such success, it motivates you, and lets you know that you can do the same. Especially when you have the help of these peers.

At this point, I’m sure you understand why I want to introduce you to these incredible friends of mine.

More importantly, I’m sure you understand why it’s in YOUR best interest to meet them.

So…

Keep an eye on your inbox, because the game has now changed.

From this point forward, you’re going to be meeting and rubbing shoulders with the movers and shakers of the business world.
